Eco Wool

Balkan Kapital is working together with the United Nataions Development Program (UNDP) and the Austrian Development Authority (ADA) to develop a value-adding sheep wool industry in BiH. To-date, over 100 tonnes of sheep wool has been bought from BiH farmers (who would othersie have dumped/destroyed it). It has been washed in Bosnia using old industuial wool washing machines.

The next stage is to set up a manufacturng plant to produce eco sheep-wool insulation for the contstruction industry both in BiH and abroad. It is expected that over 90% of the wool insukation will be expoerted. This project will provide local jobs, investment and value-added exports for BiH.
